Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you subscribe to a record service or buy a DNA test through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Referrals to professional researchers may also carry a fee. No payment is accepted for placement or for a favourable recommendation.

Privacy

This site does not require an account and does not store family data. If you email us, we hold that correspondence only to answer it. Standard server logs may record IP address, browser type and pages visited for traffic analysis.

Accuracy

Record availability, fees and access rules change. Everything here reflects the position at publication and is general guidance; confirm details with the archive, repository or service before relying on them.

Third parties

Subscription services, DNA companies and archives linked from this site have their own privacy policies, which govern what happens to anything you submit to them. Reading that policy before uploading a DNA file or a family tree is worth the ten minutes.
